We had our much anticipated 20 week ultrasound this morning, and were thrilled to find out we are having a girl! She was very active today. So active, in fact, that I am having another ultrasound next month so they can get a few more measurements they weren't able to obtain today. I can't believe I haven't felt her yet as much as she is moving around!
The most important part of the visit, though, is that she is perfectly healthy! All of her parts are there, and she is right on target with her weight and length. She is around 12 ounces and 6 inches long. Her heartrate is still great. I am doing fine, too. I am starting to have a few pregnancy symptoms (mainly backaches) all of which are normal. And I have only gained 4 pounds! Dr. Fields was pleased with the progress of me and the baby.
Steve and I were so excited to have our parents there. Mom and Dad made a quick, and much appreciated, trip from West Tennessee, and Jerry and Connie took time from work. It was the first ultrasound for all 4 grandparents. It was a neat experience to have together. We were worried about space, but even with 5 adults, me on the table, and the sonographer, we didn't set a record! They made a video, which I tried to attach. The blog doesn't like it for some reason, so I'll work on it later.
Thanks for the prayers . . . Keep em coming!
