Better late than never...

I've obviously been very slack in updating my blog ... so sorry to anyone who has been checking it! Everything is still going great. We went to the doctor Monday and got another excellent report. We got to see Bebe (my new nickname for her) again, as we had to do a continuation of her 20 week ultrasound. Even though she was hiding from us, the sonographer did get a brief shot of her face, which is what she needed. She's still moving her mouth!! It almost looked like she let out a big yawn for us. Most importantly, her appearance is perfectly normal, which significantly reduces the chance she will have Downs or Spina Bifida. (sp?)

Bebe is really bumping and thumping around my belly now. For anyone who hasn't seen me in awhile, I think you'll be surprised by her recent growth spurt. Even though she has had some pretty powerful punches, Steven hasn't felt her very much. She'll be doing cartwheels and I'll yell for him to come feel her, which is apparently her signal to lay perfectly still!! Steve is taking that as a sign that he'll be the one who puts her to sleep. Whatever works!

I'm still doing great, too. I'm going to the bathroom a lot more (Bebe recently discovered my bladder), but other than that, I haven't had many pregnancy symptoms. From my December visit to my January visit, I did not gain a single pound. I'm not bragging, I'm not worried, I'm simply...amazed. I ate like a pig all through the holidays and have yet to really quit. As I near my third trimester, I don't anticipate this trend will continue, but I will take it for now.

I will try to post some more pictures soon. The ultrasound photos have not been very clear (Steve is spot on if you need any interpretation ... What I thought were Bebe's eye sockets turned out to be her kidneys), and I have given up on posting the videos. More later!
