Happy Birthday Mommy!

Long time no post for yours truly, but I thought today was the perfect opportunity to jump back into amy-n.blogspot.com. Today is Amy's 29th birthday (for the 4th year in a row)! I thought a good post idea to mark the special day would be to go back thru and pick some of my favorite pictures of my two girls. So if you'll allow me to be a boasting husband and daddy . . . . here are a "few" of my personal favorites from the past 11 months. Hope you enjoy!

Westbound and Down

Last weekend, Samantha and I loaded up the car and headed west on I-40 to Jackson. No particular reason, we just hadn't been home since Christmas and wanted to see everyone. We had a wonderful time. And the best part it we did a whole bunch of nothing!! After a Friday night outing to Los Portales, my favorite mexican restaurant, we spent Saturday at Mom and Dad's. The whole gang was nice enough to come see us: Gran, Grandaddy, Memaw, Russ, Amy, Garner and Anna Grace. Here are some photos from our trip.

Garner has changed the most of all the grandkids, though I was excited to see he still has his great executive hair. He hung out in the bumbo and watched the girls.

Playing with Memaw, who looked beautiful in her pink.

Sizing up Gran.

Garner and Big Guy watching a little SEC basketball ... can't get them started too early in our family!

Samantha with cousin Anna Grace. Anna Grace turns 1 on March 26.

Playing with Anna Grace.

Big Guy and Grammy ... in heaven!

Mom and Dad opening their 40th anniversary present from Samantha.

Testing out Janette's famous homemade yeast rolls.

Yep ... they're good. More please!

Begging for more strawberry cake.

Uh-Oh, Spaghetti-O's

We had a new eating adventure yesterday .... baby spaghetti-o's. I thought I would let Samantha have a go at it herself with the assistance of a suction-bottomed bowl and a baby spoon. Well, she ate them like she eats everything. With her hands. After the first handful, I decided to just sit back and see how messy she could get. One word: VERY.

Not too bad.

Oh, my. Much worse.

I still can't figure out how she got it matted in her eyebrows.

Washing down what she managed to get in.

Daddy gets clean-up duty.

Steve decides the best plan of attack is to just strip her down.

Somewhat clean baby, ready for a bath!
