Thank you, God.

For those of you looking for pictures, you can skip this post. I just wanted to relay a sweet story and record it for posterity's sake. We had a sick little girl on our hands today. She was sick to her stomach last night and has been running a fever. When I laid down with her at naptime today, we had some good "snuggle time." I didn't turn the light on for story time because there was plenty of light coming in through her curtains, even though it was overcast. As we were reading "The Dog Book" (101 Dalmatians for the uneducated), the clouds shifted and the sunlight intensified. Samantha stopped mid-sentence, gasped, and said "somebody turned the lights on!" I told her that God turned the lights on, and proceeded to explain how the sun was hiding behind a cloud, and that God moved the cloud. Excited that she could see her dog book better, she said "Thank you, sun! Thank you, cloud! Thank you, God!" Indeed. Today was a day I longed to have the innocence of a child.

Profound wisdom through the eyes, mind, and soul of a child. We are thankful each day for the way God has "given" to us! Faith, family, friends and yes, the sun and the cloud...Thank you God for everything.
