Four Generations Strong

What a wonderful weekend we had in West Tennessee visiting my family! This was Samantha's first real road trip. Outside of a minor incident that involved an attempted car bottle feeding in Cumberland County (I'll never try that again!), she did just fine. She slept most of the way and didn't seem to mind being in her carseat when she was awake.

Even though she is still a bit young for a big trip, we really wanted her to meet the people who make up a big part of who she is. In today's world, close bonds with grandparents can be rare. As a 32 year old woman, I feel most blessed to have 3 grandparents who are still a very active part of my life. That means 4 great-grandparents for Samantha (along with Steve's grandmother in Gatlinburg), in addition to her 4 doting grandparents. If only she could comprehend how blessed and loved she is! There were so many pictures to choose from, it was hard to post only a few. If you would like to see more, I'll send you the link to our online album, 100+ pictures strong.

Waiting on some "love pats" from Memaw.
My Gran with her "bambino."
Grandaddy gets his turn. I love that they have roughly the same hairdo!
