Well the clock has struck 3:00 in God's Country (Knoxville) and Amy finally "took the needle" about 12:00. The contractions have gone thru the roof, but pain has now left the building. Amy is footloose and fancy free.
BeBe is doing EXCELLENT! Her heart-rate is right where it needs to be. Amy is currently at 3cm and 80% effaced (again I am worse than Ben Rogers when it comes to spelling) ;)
Dr. Fields seems to think we are looking at BeBe making her debut sometime tonight or maybe even early Wednesday morning! The good thing now is that Amy has decided to ditch her frontier roots and take the epidural. Now where is my epidural?
Grandparents to be are hanging in there as well. The Nolands seem to be showing a bit more nerves than the Fletchers at this point. Jerry Lee accidentally left the toilet lid up when he went to the bathroom . . . luckily Amy spotted it before she fell in when she went to the bathroom for her final time before the epidural. Connie accidentally woke Amy up from a nap when she gasped after hearing A.L. Lotts (her school) had an evacuation drill today. Gil is closely monitoring Amy's blood pressure while Judy is keeping a keen eye on the pressure of the contractions while feeding Amy popsicles. As for yours truly . . . . I'm just sitting back and having a Coke and a smile trying to caffeinate up for a loooooong night.
Keep those prayers going!
